We're searching for a passionate and professional kitchen duty manager/sous chef to run the restaurant together with it's restaurant manager and head chef. You already have some experience as a team leader and you assist the head chef in their work and together you coach your staff to reach and exceed set targets.
You have mastered the craft of making sushi and preparing fish and you work on your skills continuously. You lead by example cheering your team on and work side by side with your staff. Your smile doesn't fade even in the busiest moments and the customer experience is always your priority. You are hardworking and motivated and constantly want to evolve and improve as a team leader. You also want your team to make progress and become as great as they can in their work! You are empathic and friendly, and adjust the way you work to suit the needs of your customers and employees. You solve problems independently but are not afraid to ask for help when you need it. You’ll work closely with your locations head chef, restaurant manager and front of house duty manager but also our other Finnish team leaders.
Your tasks as a duty manager/sous chef along side the head chef will include at least:
- Responsible for kitchen personnel in shift in the restaurant
- Assisting the head chef in matters concerning the staff at your location: sick leaves, recruiting with the head chef, training kitchen staff, acting as team leader in shift
- Guidelines for daily routines
- Responsible for the product and quality in own unit
- Self monitoring plans (omavalvontasuunnitelma)
- Certificate trackings for MSC and ASC
- Orders and stock value

Your home unit would be one of our restaurants in Helsinki or Espoo. Your contract starts upon agreement, but to be honest, we would like to see you making something beautiful out of fish as soon as possible.
